This isn’t an exhaustive list, I’m only listing games I’ve played and liked for one reason or another.
Last Night On Earth (and expansions): This game is great. I love the adjustable board. Each time you start a new game, you place individual pieces of the board together to create a new playing board. And I’m partial to cooperative games. Each game has objectives that you must meet within a certain amount of time. If you don’t meet those objectives, the zombies win.
Zombies!!! (and expansions): Lots ‘o zombies. Slightly more portable than Last Night On Earth. Many expansions so you won’t get bored.
Arkham Horror (and expansions – based on HP Lovecraft – not zombie per so, but there are zombies. Remember Pickman’s Model and The Outsider?). This is one of my all-time favorite games. It’s not surprising since I’ve been an HP Lovecraft fan since around age ten. Like Last Night on Earth, it’s a cooperative game – and a good thing too! Some of those Old Ones are tough to beat. Investigators need all the help they can get! Be warned, the first time you play your first game might take upwards of around six hours. My quickest games last a couple of hours, depending on how many investigators there are. No matter, the game is great fun, and some are epic adventures.
