Sunrise over the beach where we see a walker in a shallow pool of ocean water. We can’t see them, but two women are talking on said beach, and one of them sees the walker in the water. The girl (maybe 11 years old) has a spear and kills the walker. She sees another walker and runs towards it with her spear. The woman tells her not to run, but she not only runs, she jumps over some tree limbs. She gets ready to kill the walker at the ocean’s edge, but the woman tells the girl to wait, what they think is a dead body, isn’t. It’s Tara and she’s not dead. The girl is ready to kill Tara. The woman and the girl argue about killing Tara, the girl says yes, the woman says no. The woman asks if the girl’s going to tell. She says she’s not a snitch, but she’s not going to help the woman with Tara.

The woman drags Tara out of the water and onto drier sand.

Maggie wakes up, and she sees some blue flowers sitting on the bedside table next to her.  Dr. Carson welcomes her back. He lets her know about the pregnancy issues – the placenta separated from the uterus, but she’s okay now, and she didn’t lose the baby. They listen to the heartbeat together. He tells Maggie that she has to calm down and rest otherwise she could lose the baby. Not only that, but he wants her to stay at Hilltop for the duration of her pregnancy so that he can monitor her pregnancy.

Sasha is seated outside the ‘hospital’ door, and Maggie steps out to greet her. Maggie wants to know where Glenn and Abraham are buried so Sasha takes her over to where they are buried. Maggie kneels at Glenn’s grave. Sasha gives Maggie Glenn’s pocket watch (that was once Hershel’s). She tells Maggie that the pocket watch was in Glenn’s pocket. Sasha goes on to tell her that all Abraham had in his pocket was a cigar. A bittersweet moment. Maggie places the pocket watch on Glenn’s grave. Sasha says that it feels like everything is wrong. Maggie says not everything, meaning her pregnancy is still good. Sasha says she’ll stay with Maggie till the baby’s born. Jesus walks over to place flowers on the graves. He was the one who put the flowers by Maggie’s bedside. He says that blue flowers inspire strength and calmness. Continue reading “88. Go-Getters, Season Seven, Episode Five. Michonne and Rick are sleeping in bed, well maybe only pretending to sleep, they have their backs to each other, and Michonne looks angry. She gets up, gets her katana and goes into the living room. She pulls out an automatic rifle that she has hidden in the fireplace, and puts it in a duffle bag. She goes out the front door as Rick watches her go. Her back is to Rick, so she doesn’t realize that Rick saw her leave.

In an open field, we see Michonne walk toward a rusted and burned out SUV-type vehicle. She climbs on top of it along with her weapons, and scans the countryside. It seems she’s on watch – maybe for Negan? Continue reading “87. Service, Season Seven, Episode Four. Original Air Date = November 13, 2016”

86. The Cell, Season Seven, Episode Three. Original Air Date = November 6, 2016

It starts out with a montage (music provided by the Jam) of Dwight and his life picking up deliveries, and how those deliveries contribute to the yummy looking sandwich he’s making. He picks up mustard and pickles from one ‘town, tomatoes from another, fresh bread, eggs. People who balk at giving deliveries to the Saviors get beaten up. The Saviors settlement is in a factory-like building. At the factory, as Dwight and co gather eggs (for his sandwich), Negan walks by with Lucille. Everyone kneels as Negan walks by.

Dwight ends up with a pretty tasty looking sandwich – fresh bread, mustard, pickles, tomatoes, a fried egg. He’s perched on the concrete steps of the factory and watches people and walkers right outside the chain link fence. The walkers are chained, impaled, and otherwise trapped – but make pretty good guard dogs. Continue reading “86. The Cell, Season Seven, Episode Three. Original Air Date = November 6, 2016”

85. The Well, Season Seven, Episode Two. Original Air Date = October 30, 2016

The episode picks up where we left off last season with Carol after she got shot by the Savior and the guys from The Kingdom offered to help.  Carol is being pulled along in a cart/wheel barrel. She can barely comprehend what’s going on around her; she catches bits of muted conversation, as she drifts in and out of consciousness. Morgan walks along next to her as they make progress along the path.  She sees Morgan and members of The Kingdom kill a large batch of walkers. As she watches Morgan and his group dispatch the walkers, she sees the walkers as the people they once were. Those people fade back into the walkers that they currently are. She’s still disoriented from her gun shot wounds, but knows she has to get away from the battle. She makes her escape into the woods. She’s moving awfully fast for someone who’s been shot a few times and who’s barely conscious. Continue reading “85. The Well, Season Seven, Episode Two. Original Air Date = October 30, 2016”

84. The Day Will Come When You Won’t Be, Season Seven, Episode One. Original Air Date = October 23, 2016

The first thing we see is a focus on Rick with blood on the side his face, almost like he was gashed, but it doesn’t look like he was cut. Negan says “What? Was the joke that bad?” Rick says he’s going to kill Negan. Negan’s bat is bloody. Negan tells Rick to speak up, he didn’t quite catch what Rick said. Rick says he’s going to kill Negan, not today or tomorrow, but he’s going to kill him. Negan looks unimpressed by Rick. Negan calls for his right-hand man, Simon. You got to have one of those, says Negan. Then pretending to be sorry, Negan asks if Negan killed Rick’s right hand man. It’s awfully quiet in the background – Rick’s group is in shocked silence. Next, Negan wants the axe from Simon. Negan holds the axe up to Rick’s face, and then stands up. Rick is still on his knees. Negan drags him up and over to Rick’s RV. Continue reading “84. Various blood covered implements including Carol’s rosary, and what looks like Morgan’s staff.

After the commercial, we see what looks like a flashback. Carol is sewing repairs on a jacket at her house. She’s also packing a bunch of plastic wrapped food into a backpack. As Tobin walks in she casually hides the pack under the bed. Tobin says he’s happy to see her.

Tobin went to the infirmary for a cut on his hand. And now that Denise is gone, the infirmary so quiet. Carol kind of listens to him, and nods at appropriate times, but her mind is elsewhere. She’s probably thinking about her impending trip to wherever.

Carol tells Tobin she’s worried about Tara when she finds out about Denise. Carol kisses Tobin and the camera focuses on the bed. There is a short time shift and Tobin is sleeping and Carol silently leaves the bedroom with her pack. It’s dark and night time. Continue reading “82. East, Season Six, Episode Fifteen. The garage door opens and Denise steps out into the morning light. Olivia is working in the pantry. Father Gabriel is walking through the town with a gun slung over his shoulder. Eugene takes a guard watch at the gate as Sasha nods to him from her perch on the lockout platform. Morgan is practicing aikido. Carol is looking at her rosary. Morgan is building a jail, he’s cementing concrete blocks into place, and there are bars in the window, which he tests. Rick walks up and asks ‘why?’ Morgan says it will give you some choices next time.

Montage starts over. Slightly different angles.

This time Tobin gives Carol a kiss. She still looks unhappy. Rosita is getting dressed and is unhappy. She shakes her head. Is that Spencer in her bed? It is. Continue reading “81. Twice As Far, Season Six, Episode Fourteen. Original Air Date = March 20, 2016”

80. The Same Boat, Season Six, Episode Thirteen. Original Air Date = March 13, 2016

It’s night, the horn is blowing from the episode before. A walker is killed by Carol, who tells Maggie, ‘you’re staying here.’ Maggie wants to kill the wounded guy on the ground first. Then they’re ambushed. Instead of Maggie paying attention to Carol, two women ambush them. They have guns. The horn is still blowing in the night.

We see the morning scene of Rick and everyone killing Saviors. The women have Maggie and Carol with them. They tell Rick to lower their weapons, as we saw before, just a different point of view.

The woman says they’re going to work it out and it’s going to go our way. Rick wants to know that Maggie and Carol okay, the women say they’re okay.   The woman is named Paula.

Rick says they know they’re talking it over, come on out, and let’s make the trade.

The women cover Carol and Maggie’s heads with cloth as we hear a walker come by. The woman says  ‘we’ll get back to you’. Continue reading “80. The Same Boat, Season Six, Episode Thirteen. Original Air Date = March 13, 2016”
