99. The First Day of The Rest of Your Life, Season Seven, Episode Sixteen. Original Air Date = April 2, 2017

It opens with a tight close up of Sasha’s face in the dark. She is listening to music through head phones – Donny Hathaway “Someday We’ll All Be Free”. Very appropriate for Sasha at this moment. There is sweat on her brow, and then she closes her eyes. The music continues to play.

98. Something They Need, Season Seven, Episode Fifteen. Original Air Date = March 26, 2017

A walker’s face comes into focus for us and the scene shifts abruptly to a shot of the RV, Daryl on his motorcycle, and Aaron driving a van behind Daryl. The next shot is of the group crossing the lake in a boat on their way to Oceanside. Then Tara, Carl and Enid are on the shore discussing how many people they’ve killed. While all of this happens, Tara tells Rick in voice over about Oceanside.

The walker we saw at the beginning seems to be part of a shipwreck because we see a large ship half sunk just off the beach. It looks like the same beach where Tara washed up, so Oceanside can’t be that far away. Many of the walkers are waterlogged and falling apart and they’re meandering forward into view!  Nice. 97. The Other Side, Season Seven, Episode Fourteen. Original Air Date = March 19, 2017

Life at the Hilltop. Maggie is practicing throwing knives along with others at the Hilltop. Enid is up next and throws a bulls-eye. They smile.

We see a montage of Sasha sharpening knives, although elsewhere from Maggie’s group. Meanwhile Maggie has a good ultrasound.  Next we see Maggie preparing a list, while Enid brings her a plate of food. Continue reading “97. The Other Side, Season Seven, Episode Fourteen. 96. Bury Me Here, Season Seven, Episode Thirteen. Original Air Date = March 12, 2017

Diane, Jerry, King Ezekiel, and a couple of other Kingdom members who are responsible for the tribute runs, load a single cantaloupe onto a truck bed and then close the truck bed door on it.  They are quite solemn as they do this, and no one speaks.

95. Say Yes, Season Seven, Episode Twelve. Original Air Date = March 5, 2017

Morning, and a god shot through the trees – sun beams through the branches of the trees. We see a camper and then Rick and Michonne bursting into a house and rummaging around for stuff. They load up cans of food, and a gun. Then they have wild, ‘we didn’t die’, sex.

Michonne thanks Rick for keeping watch last night. We see an overhead shot of their van with its open doors – they’re very much alone out there.

Another fight, more walkers killed. It looks like a fire fighters headquarters. More taking of supplies, more sex. Continue reading “95. Say Yes, Season Seven, Episode Twelve. Original Air Date = March 5, 2017”

94. Hostiles and Calamities, Season Seven, Episode Eleven. Original Air Date = February 26, 2017

Fat Joey’s mangled sandwich on the asphalt, along with Fat Joey’s body.  It’s the aftermath of Daryl’s escape. The group of Saviors notice a motorcycle gone and hear the trucks coming. Dwight realizes that Daryl has escaped, and runs back to check the cell where Daryl was being held. It’s empty.

The truck drives up and there is Eugene with a bag over his head. One of the Saviors rips it off as Negan lurks in the background to ‘greet’ him. Continue reading “94. Hostiles and Calamities, Season Seven, Episode Eleven. Original Air Date = February 26, 2017”

Morgan and members of the Kingdom, including the King, Jerry, Richard, and Diane, are outside waiting in the designated parking lot for the Saviors to arrive. A female walker shambles out of the nearby woods and Diane shoots it, remarking that ‘my sister had that dress’.  Richard tells her not to think about it.  Jerry asks, the king, ‘now?’, and the King says yes. They open the trunk and we see plastic tanks of gas.  One of the Saviors says it looks light, but it turns out all the goods are there. Continue reading “93. It’s night time at the Alexandria Safe Zone and Father Gabriel is at his post. He picks up what looks like his bible and reads. 91. Hearts Still Beating, Season Seven, Episode Eight. Original Air Date = December 11, 2016

Maggie is sitting by Glenn and Abraham’s graves.  She stands up, and climbs up to the look out perch at Hilltop. She looks out at the land beyond the gate. Gregory walks up behind her. He says that people are saying nice things about her and Sasha, but not to let it go to her head. And she says, ‘don’t let it bother you, it seems like it bothers you’. He asks her what she’s doing up there, while he rubs an apple against his chest. Another guy tells Gregory that Maggie is pregnant so he gives her the apple – not because he wants to, but because he’s shamed into it. Continue reading “91. 90. Sing Me A Song, Season Seven, Episode Seven. Original Air Date = December 4, 2016

Michonne is out walking along the road by the remains of the burnt mattresses.  She’s following a trail of liquid, whistling as she goes – ‘The Farmer in the Dell’. A walker shambles behind her, then another joins along, the three of them walk in a configuration reminiscent of when she had her ‘pets’. She drops her pack to the ground and then kills both walkers, decapitating one of them. She places her katana carefully down on top of her bag and hauls the decapitated walker away from the bag, the camera focusing on the walkie talkie. Looks like she doesn’t want to talk to anyone.
