75. Start To Finish, Season Six, Episode Eight. Original Air Date = November 29, 2015

Upstairs outside Sam’s door. We hear Tiptoe Through The Tulips by Tiny Tim. Sam places his empty plate on the floor and goes back into his room. We see all of his toys as he draws crayon pictures of walkers attacking people. It looks like someone is tied to a tree and being attacked by walkers – probably inspired by Carol’s cookies speech to him. We see a 1960s style record player as it plays the vinyl 45 speed version of Tiptoe Through The Tulips. Ants are trailing down the window and across the floor to the half eaten cookie on a plate. The music gets weird(er) as we see the disintegrating cookie as the ants swarm over it.

The tower crashes again and we see lots of dust, silence, and then the ambling walkers as they stream in. Just like the ants.  🙂 Fantastic opening.

74. Heads Up, Season Six, Episode Seven. Original Air Date = November 22, 2015

Black screen.

While the screen is black we hear Nicholas say ‘Thank You’. Then we see Glenn and Nicholas as they fall off the dumpster. Okay, finally we’re going to find out what happened to Glenn.

Nicholas is getting pulled apart, but not Glenn  – yet. Nicholas is indeed on top of Glenn and it’s Nicholas’ guts that are being pulled out. Glenn is sliding carefully under the dumpster. Then it looks like he’s being dragged out, but he somehow gets  underneath, and away from the walkers.  It seems like he’s going in and out of consciousness, as day turns into night. As the time passes, walkers begin to lose interest, and begin to move on. Are they distracted by something else? Glenn is looking at Nicholas, who is clearly dead. Glenn slowly slides out from under the dumpster. I’m now thinking about The Attack of The Mushroom People – ‘First it was day, then it was night, and then it was day again.’ Glenn is guzzling on what’s left of a bottle of water. His flare gun is broken and dead. He grabs a gun. A girl gives him water. It’s Enid! He grabs his stuff and climbs up a ladder and goes in through a window to follow her.  I’m glad he’s alive, but I’m annoyed that the dumpster situation even occurred.  If you read the comics, you’ll know why I’m annoyed. 73. Always Accountable, Season Six, Episode Six. Original Air Date = November 15, 2015

The herd is shambling up the road while Daryl, Sasha and Abraham lead them along. Nice that the walkers all stay on the paved road. They all turn on route 642 into what looks like the outskirts of a town and are ambushed!  People start shooting at them. Daryl falls off his bike. He’s wounded, but gets back on, and is being chased by people in a car. Abraham and Sasha crash after their tires are shot out by the people in the car. Sasha and Abraham come out shooting. Walkers are everywhere. Many walkers are killed.

Sasha asks why Abraham is grinning. Abraham says ‘we won darlin’. He wants to kill more walkers, but they’re in danger of walkers and the shooters so they take off. Continue reading “73. Always Accountable, Season Six, Episode Six. Original Air Date = November 15, 2015”

72. Now, Season Six, Episode Five. Original Air Date = November 8, 2015

Deanna is climbing the ladder to one of the outlooks.  It was constructed by Reg, and she traces his initials in the wood.

People below are carrying away the dead. Deanna is overhearing a few women talk. She hears walkers and turns to face them. She looks very fearful. Rick is running in front of them. Michonne runs to open the gate for him and Morgan. They slam the gate shut before the horde of walkers get in. Michonne closes the inside grate to obscure our view of the walkers. We don’t see how Rick escaped the RV.

Credits. Continue reading “72. Now, Season Six, Episode Five. Original Air Date = November 8, 2015”

71. Here’s Not Here, Season Six, Episode Four. Original Air Date = November 1, 2015

Morgan slowly comes into focus.

‘You said you liked talking, I remember that. Like the movies, talking by the fire. You want everything I have.’ He’s talking to, or about a wolf. ‘Well, here it is, every last  bit.’

Flames in a lantern, radio and gun. Morgan is sleeping on a cot, then gets up and walks around. He’s back in the days of ‘Clear’. Lantern is now a fire. ‘You were supposed to!  We weren’t supposed to be here.’ The lantern flame is now a huge fire! Continue reading “71. Here’s Not Here, Season Six, Episode Four. 70. Thank You, Season Six, Episode Three. Original Air Date = October 25, 2015

We hear the horn again from last week and see Glen running through the woods. Rick is on the walkie-talkie trying to find out what is happening in Alexandria. He’s telling Tobin to stop that horn. Rick is talking to Daryl on the walkie-talkie. Michonne kills a walker. Lots of Alexandrians running with Rick and Glenn through the woods – the Alexandrian’s are clearly inexperienced.

Abraham and Sasha are still slowly driving their car, with Daryl on his motorcycle leading their parade of a thousand walkers.  Daryl and Rick talk via walkie-talkie. Daryl wants to help Rick, but Rick says to stay on the parade route. Daryl is doubtful, but stays. Continue reading “70. Thank You, Season Six, Episode Three. Original Air Date = October 25, 2015”

69. JSS, Season Six, Episode Two. Original Air Date = October 18, 2015

People in white SUV-type car – who are they? Oh, they’re probably Enid’s parents. Now we see the walkers eating those people, while Enid, protected in a red car, looks on at the carnage. Now we see Enid by herself as the lone survivor of the attack. We see little vignettes of her life by herself and how she survived – kind of like when we first met Bob, and got the glimpses of his life before he joined Rick’s group. Enid hides behind trees, hoping not to be seen by the walkers that we know are nearby. She writes in the dirt – JSS. She walks by a car with a dead person on the ground. She tugs his arm, but he’s a walker, stuck in the car. She dispatches him so she can take refuge in the car. She writes JSS on the windshield. Continue reading “69. JSS, Season Six, Episode Two. 68. First Time Again, Season Six, Episode One. Original Air Date = October 11, 2015

In Michonne’s living room. She puts her katana on the wall, and then takes it down and straps it on her back.  She’s still wearing her police uniform. Looks like she’s feeling that her walker-killing days aren’t over yet.

A walker creeps by an abandoned car with the words ‘wolves not air’ written on it.

Back to Rick and Morgan at night as Morgan sees that Rick just killed a man (from the end of last season).  Cut to morning. The walkers are blocked out of their city by two semi-trucks angled together.  One of the trucks is edging  over the cliff of the quarry. Rick screams – ‘it’s open now.’ The walkers are going to get into their city if they don’t stop them. They have to make a plan! Rick is ordering people around so that they can deal with the huge horde. Nick, the guy who Glenn didn’t kill at the end of last season (Glenn would have been justified because it almost got Glenn killed, and got Noah ripped to shreds in the revolving door of doom), is there to help. Everyone takes their positions. Rick says ‘NOW!’, and a flare goes off.  We’re in black and white and then color. Really gross walkers now – really decayed. And all of them are heading toward the settlement. Some of their clothes are a little clean for being out there in the open for two years, but in general they look pretty good.  Continue reading “68. First Time Again, Season Six, Episode One. Original Air Date = October 11, 2015”

6. The Good Man, Season One, Episode Six. Original Air Date = October 4, 2015

The episode begins with a montage set to music. We see a darkened Capital tower (US Bank Tower?) in downtown L.A.. We see the darkened freeways and neighborhoods. The whole city is dark except for some burning fires. The camera finally ends up at the arena packed with the 2,000 infected. Walkers bang on the padlocked doors. They are almost bursting out – and they probably will before the end of the episode.

Madison is at home packing. Travis walks in carrying a box. Chris and Alicia walk in and Travis and Madison tell them to pack their stuff and get ready; we’re going. Alicia says she thought we were — winning. Travis says no, the soldiers are retreating, so Travis’ plan is back to ‘Plan A’, go east to the desert. Continue reading “6. 5. Cobalt, Season One, Episode Five. Original Air Date = September 27, 2015

Opens with a US flag in one of what looks like a holding camp.

‘Fire, earthquake, flood,’ says an older black guy wearing a nice suit. He looks at Doug Thompson in the cell that they share. ‘You are a buyer. I am a closer.’  Can’t close insurance though. When the man is gone, kids and family are left alone. The wolf comes to the door. No one is covered for that.  He takes a photo from Doug of Doug’s wife, Maria.  He insinuates that Maria will use her body to get another man to help her get through this apocalypse.  Doug falls apart and the military takes him. The black guy set him off on purpose, but we don’t know the purpose. Continue reading “5. Cobalt, Season One, Episode Five. Original Air Date = September 27, 2015”
